How do I dim the screen?

[Windows Central Question]

So I go to Settings, System, Display.
And there is a very nice slider that says "Adjust brightness level"
But no matter where I slide the slider, the screen brightness remains the same
Right below that is a On/Off button that says "Change brigtness automatically when the light changes."
No matter if that is On or Off, moving the screen brightness slider doesn't do anything.
Help!

Are you on one of the latest Insider Fast Builds? I've read somewhere it may have this exact issue.
