how to enable LTE on Lumia 820?

Hello, I bought my lumia 820 from india and now It is updated to Lumia Cyan (8.1).
But still there is no option to select 4G network, Kindly assist.

Indias 4G band -2300 isnt supported by any Lumia or infact very few phones support indias 4G band
so no it wont work

Most importantly, LTE is only available in some areas in Bangalore, so are you in Bangalore, that to I've heard that only some carriers have provided it to iPhone 5s. I am not sure about other phones

I travel overseas and I bought 4G sim from singapore and tried it, but still no option. Is it possible to avail that 4G network option if I am overseas ?

Any advise.

And one more thing, I cannot do Field test in my phone. (##3282)

I dont know whether its locked. I tried checking with local customer care and they told me it will be activated in new future update ie, Lumia Cyan update. Still no luck.

not quite sure,you can still try flashing a ROM from another country but im not very sure if itll activate 4G for overseas,theoretically it should imho

I have the Lumia 820 and the LTE / 3G option should be available in the Cellular + SIM menu in Settings. It's not immediately visible as you need to click on the SIM link under SIM Settings.

If it isn't there, then I guess it would be your ROM since Lumia 820 supports LTE.

The ability to do field test has been disabled for quite some time since the previous updates. It hasn't been re-enabled since then (just updated my phone a few days ago).

yeah because the India ROM disabled 4G since most phones including the 820 lack support for India's 4G Band-2300
