How do I get rid of a search bar?

How do I get rid of a search bar.

I was trying to download Mozilla Firefox onto my laptop so that I could access a school site that doesn't work with Microsoft Edge. After it downloaded, I couldn't find the icon on my desktop screen but suddenly a internet explorer search bar was at the top of my screen and I cant figure out how to get rid of it. Any ideas?

control panel > uninstall a program > right click in any space without text and set "sort by" to "installed on" > remove anything that was installed within the same time frame you installed firefox (hint: sth along the lines of "toolbar")
