How do I mute the sound of achievements unlocking?

When I play Xbox games on my Nokia Lumia 520 with all sounds turned down to zero, it still makes the sounds of an achievement unlocking mid-game. How can I turn this off?

Have you tried going to Settings>notifications+actions then turning notifications from Xbox off?

OP here.

In notifications + actions, xbox or games isn't one of the options.

Very strange. Which volume are you turning down? There's typically two. One for messages and phone calls, another for apps.
