How to purchase single sim 950xl with a warranty from MS (Replacement warranty)

I have on good authority the single sim is coming to ATT. But I am really wanting the 950xl does anyone know how to get the single sim variant with a protection plan warranty from MS?

ms store have the single sim version..

my fault. the one sold in ms store is dual sim version...

I just received mine from seller never-msrp on ebay: Microsoft Lumia 950 XL RM 1085 Factory Unlocked 5 7" 20MP Black White | eBay

With the free shipping it was about the same price as from 1shopmobile.com and I could use PayPal for payment. I had already picked up a nano-SIM for my 920 (I had an adapter) that I just put in and booted up the phone. It came up in Chinese so I did a hardware reset as follows:

Lumia 950/XL hard reset

1. power off
2. Press power button, when phone vibrates hold volume down until ! is displayed
3. In order, press volume up, volume down, power button, volume down
4. After MS boot screen gears will show and then start the setup sequence

It came up just fine and everything works on AT&T including visual voicemail. Once it was up it updated to the latest OS and/or firmware. I did not do a restore from my 920 backup because I wanted a clean slate to start with.

BTW, In a conversation I had with MS store sales, I don't think I have a US warranty. This phone looks like it was for the Hong Kong market.

Imported phones don't have the manufacturer warranty. Some importers provide their own warranty or outsource it to organizations such as SquareTrade. You need to find out before buying. If you already bought, check with the seller to see what they say about it.
