I have the basic calculator with the Win10, I want to use it occasionally but it takes up the whole screen! It is covering the information I am using, and this is distracting, and interferes with my work. How do I reduce the size on the screen, there is no prompt to address the size of the screen!

You can just hit the two-square button between the _ and the X in the upper right and resize it as you see fit.

Unless you're in tablet mode or using Continuum on a phone.

It sounds as though you are on tablet mode rather than desktop mode, when you are in tablet mode, all apps take up the whole screen, it how they work best on most tablets especially if they are small.

Look along the taskbar at the bottom of your screen (Unless you have moved it somewhere else), over to the right, normally just by the system time and date is a small button with some squiggly lines, this is the action centre, if you click on that you should see a button for tablet mode, if you can't look for the word expand and see if it comes up, click on this and you will go to desktop mode and then the calculator should size normally.

You can go through the settings and set the PC to start in desktop or tablet mode later on.

Very easy I struggled with this as well was so annoying thanks Windows :)

Anyways put your mouse cursor over the edges of the calculator click and hold drag to resize on both sides to the desired size and enjoy a normal calculator that does not annoy you any more!
