Hi, this forum is run by Windows fans and enthusiasts and isn't affiliated with Microsoft.
You would be better advised putting your thoughts about a night mode into the feedback app on your phone.
This then gets uploaded back to Microsoft and also other users can upvote it.

If you're not afraid of damaging your device, I suggest changing it in registry. I tried on my phone and low brightness is actually low (does not work with automatic brightness, I still trying to figure out how)
To do this, first you must have your phone interop unlocked (you can look it up on Google, there're many tutorial). Using any registry editor tool (I do not recommand using the tool which does not require interop unlock), find this key
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\OEM\Brightness
and edit the two Low brightness key.
Warning: I've not found any problem with this, but DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK

Re: How to set Display brightness adjustment/ Night Mode?

Do you have Display in your Extras settings? Try changing your brightness level there with the slider. If not, do the following.

Download SysApp pusher from the store. There you will find under system, Display. Download that also, you will find it under Extras on the settings menu. After that, try changing your brightness level.

This option is much better then tweaking your registry if your a novice user. Please do not attempt to tweak the registry unless you are a professional. This actually does work. Also the above technique extends battery life too while you sleep.
