How do I stop getting birthday notifications?

No matter what I set, I keep getting notifications for every birthday from every social network I've connected. How can I keep them in my calendar without getting the annoying toasts?

For Facebook go into it > click the three dots > settings > go to notification it will have different options to select such as toasts and tile count, just show on tile, don't show etc.

I fixed this awhile back. If you log into mail.live.com, use the dropdown box to select Calendar. Go to the settings button on the upper right and go to Options. Here, you can turn the notifications off and they should stop on the phone too. I believe this is how I fixed it but it's been several months. I also manually deleted the birthdays that I didn't care about. The procedure will likely stop your other reminders too, though, if you use the same account. In my case, I use my other e-mail account for that although I don't like the reminders anyway; viewing on the calendar is sufficient.

I went into calendar.live.com and turned off reminders for my birthday calendar, which stopped the vast majority of reminders.
Strangely, though, some of my contacts are still generating a 12-hours-prior reminder on my phone?? I cannot figure out the link between them at all; can't be based on frequency of contact or how recently they were added or groups they're in, and I can't turn off reminders again, because there's nothing left to turn off; it just happens that randomly there are some people whose birthdays will generate an annoying reminder for me. Anyone know how to... cancel ALL reminders? Anyone else getting this same issue? It's rather confusing; I really have no idea why it would happen.
