How to stop FB app from posting on my lock screen

Hi guy and girls since the recent update of the FB app, I am getting local event reminders on my lock screen. I don't mind birthday but I am almost 60 years old I am not going to an all night rave party. Or to a local disco night club to hook up.
How do I turn those notifications off. Normally only my callander can post on my lock screen.

What device are you referring to?

At any rate, you should be able to change the lock screen settings from your device settings (depending on what device that is). You can also change/turn off notifications from the device settings.

It's a lumia 640, and has only been during the last couple of days since the last FB app update that this started.
Currently only my callander has permission to post to my lock screen. But these events don?t show up in my callander.

Alright, thanks for the info.

You would need to open your Facebook App, go to the settings (Tap on the Hamburger Menu (three horizontal lines) at the upper right corner, then scroll down to "Settings"), then in the settings page, you would be able to customize settings, including connecting your FB account with your phone (so appointments will appear in your calendar) as well as Notifications (choose which ones you want to see, or turn them all off).

Thanks for the reply I had already looked there under notifications they are all checked but I see no where to turn off Events without basically turning everything off. And everything is turned off I might as well delete this app.

Even if you turn off notifications from Facebook (which I do), you will still get number of new notifications listed on the "Live Tile". You also still get that integration with your calendar and phone book. No need to delete the app to get functionality. The Calendar will still give you the reminders of people's birthdays, you just won't get notifications from Facebook every time someone likes a photo or tags you or comments on something you commented on, etc.
