how do I transfer my contacts from an iphone 4S to my lumia 650?

I've used the transfer data app, which says it's completed, but when I go into contacts or people there is nothing there. So it looks like nothing has been transferred. I've tried this twice!

never used an iphone so I don't know if this can work

Do you have options of uploading your contacts from your iphone to your outlook/hotmail account? If yes, then do that and then on your lumia sign in with that same account. Your contacts should show up

Same with gmail, upload to gmail and then sync the gmail along with contacts
