How do I tweak Win 10

I notice every time I update Win 10, several of my appz stop working so I have to re-install them. Is this normal and how do I tweak Win 10 for better performance?

On the Apps... Try asking the Developer(s) and make sure that A) They have a compatible with 10 version and B) Your version is up to date.
