How do I use a microSD Card on my Surface Pro 3?

How to use microSD on surface pro 3

I got a new SP3 and I want to expand memory by a 64GB microSD card. But when placing the card in the slot, nothing happens. The card wasn't recognized by the system. BTW: I am using Windows 10, the card is a sandisk ultra sdxc card.

I have read about the SP3 and W10 having issues with the SD although I just tried and mine has no issues, that said it wasn't a XC card. Possibly it's dependant on the card you use, is it the same with a different card?
