How do you sync progress in Halo across W8 and wp8?

I have bought both the windows 8 and windows phone 8 versions or Halo Spartan Assault. The reason I bought both is to be able to play and sync progress between the two devices. But it totally doesn't sync! Its playing two separate games. Is there some kind of trick to sync them together? I am using the same Xbox account for both. Am I missing something? Thanks!

I do not have this game, but there is something mentioned in this article about play/play/resume feature. Is that setting not showing up for you?

Well, it finally synced, but now is out of sync after the update. Anyone have any success ayncing their progress in windows 8 after the latest update?
