How long will MS support Windows 10 Mobile on older phones like L640 or L930?

Ok, we all know that Lumia 640 & 930 will get Windows 10 mobile update. However do we have any information for how long MS is planning to support older devices which Nokia or MS put on the market 1-2 years ago? Is Windows 10 mobile any different than Windows 10 on PC ? I mean on PC we have ?Windows as a service? ? with ?lifetime? support. Is W10M like an android OS -> MS or any OEM will support it only for 2 years from the date when device was introduced to the market?

I think it remains to be seen.

We know that the WP8-era had a 36 month support guarantee or something like that. Many devices are already out of that window but are expecting 10. I also don't expect updates to just stop arbitrarily now that its been desktop Windows-ified.

But who knows, maybe it'll just stop at some random build.
