How much bandwidth does groove music streaming take?

I've never tried groove music streaming and I get horrified at the thought of people streaming their songs using cellular data - I can't imagine how much data must be used or how the battery life is

How much data does streaming actually use while using groove music app. Does it differ between pc and mobile? Or from a music pass or streaming from onedrive?

I'll use it today for a couple of hours and let you know later, right now I don't have wifi at work and I've been wanting to measure it. Unfortunately MS data doesn't break it down between cellular and wifi or I'd already have an answer for you.

My Groove music was already at 1.05 GB from OneDrive streaming, in use for two hours I'm now at 1.28GB so like 230MB increase in just 2 hours.

Using Music Pass for two hours used only about 150MB.

thank you for that, it helps. So extropolating for the whole month, at one hour per day, that would be at least 3.6GB per month. 2Hours per day would be over 7GB. Data plans have to nearly 0 for this to make sense and be more cost effective than sd cards
