How to assign a data limit for my Lumia 920?

Hi,

I have been going over my data plan because there is no way of limiting my data on my phone. This is the 3rd month in a row.

Since I am with Fido, I do not have a Windows Phone app to check my limit through the phone. I usually check my data in the mornings by logging into the website and some days I forget to check.

I know Nokia phones with Windows Phone 7 have Nokia Counters.

Why did Nokia get rid of that for Windows Phone 8 devices?

Is there a way to limit my data so that I do not go over my limit?

Please help.

afaik, no. There's only DataSense, which your provider has to support. Apart from that, there's nothing so far.

There is no way, sorry to tell you that.

They didn't include Counter with the WP8 phones due to Microsoft's built in Datasense which works if the carrier decides to support and enables it.

What if my carrier does not support it? Then I will not have Nokia Counters or Datasense? Wow. That is bad news.
