How to change the search engine on an HTC M8 for Windows from Verizon

I have had the HTC M8 for Windows for a couple of months and for the life of me am unable to change the search engine from Bing to Google (preference). I know on my old Nokia 920 I was able to do this but I don't see the option for it on this phone. Am I missing something?

Should be the same regardless which phone:
Settings >> Applications >> Internet Explorer >> Advanced Settings >> Default search provider

I haven't been able to find that setting with the stock OS or with the developer preview installed as well

Have to be signed into Google thru accounts I think.

You can't on the at&t M8 either, could on my 920. Google does have a search app or pin their webpage.
