Hello,

I'm preparing to install 10586.39 but it alerts me that my device main storage only has 1 gb left which is not enough. I go check and see that my phone has only 7.28 gb on main storage (+32 gb sd) in which 3.32 gb is set aside for System, 700 mb for pictures and Maps.

2.08 gb for Apps, but Mail& calendar alone uses up 1.3 gb and cannot be uninstalled because it's system app.

What can I do to install this update other than a hard reset ?

Thanks.

Go to storage settings, then clean up unnecessary files. Delete your mails..and messages.. Uninstall some Apps..u don't need, then system storage goes low.

Thanks all, I guess i have to reset my phone. As I said above, only thing I can move is the app 2 gb but Mail & calendar app (not email data, as i already deleted all mails) alone uses up 1.3 gb. Other apps are system apps, so no way to move to SD or uninstall them.

No idea why the mail & calendar consumes that much of storage.

I think u synced many accounts, with all attachments, in all folders, within all those accounts.

When i unsync them, folder by folder, followed by accounts, then turn them off or manually download, that's how i cleared up most of the space.

Did you find a way to reset Mail app other than reset? Facing the same issue, the app is over 1GB :(
