How to completely close radio apps?

For example, when I'm done using radio controlled how do I close it? Only way I can stop it is by pausing, but the music controls still stay on the lock screen and it's really annoying. Do I really have to restart my phone every single time just to close it?

There is an app called Stop The Music that can clear that out.

I don't really think its a big issue having it there though, I don't think it is consuming much in teh way of resources if that is what you're worried about.

Go download an app called Stop The Music. You can pin a tile to your start screen that will remove the play controls.

While the controls being there might irk some, when you pause streaming audio, the app doesn't use any resources. In terms of closing it for the sake of battery/data, you don't have to.

Doesn't need to be closed because it isn't using any extra RAM or battery.
