How to down rev REDFLY firmware

Rather than post this in the original thread where it was first asked, I thought it would be easier to find later if I put it in its own topic.

Phone drivers can be overinstalled simply by installed an older build over the top of a newer one. But to install an older build after a newer build on the REDFLY, you need to follow these steps:

1. Copy the older build of firmware that you want to use to the phone, where the file name is usually formatted by version number, for example RFF_01040169.cab is build 1.4.0.169.
2. Run that cab file, which will put the proper version of a file called config.ini to your phone.
3. Copy that config.ini from the Program Files > Firmware Update folder on your phone to a known location on your desktop via ActiveSync.
4. Edit the file on your desktop in Notepad (not Word - just an ASCII text editor) changing the AllowedDownGrade = 1.
5. Save that file and then copy it back to the Firmware Update folder on your phone via ActiveSync.
6. Connect your REDFLY to your phone via USB.
7. Then go to File Explorer and navigate to Program Files > Firmware Update and run FirmwareAgent.exe.
8. Your REDFLY should now be at version 1.4.0.169, assuming that was the version used in this example.

I did this and it wiped out the serial number from Red Fly and now Bluetooth is disabled. Is there a way to get the Serial number back in the Red Fly?

Please help...
