I was getting sick the wait for cyan and wanted to try something else besides cussing out Microsoft on forums.

I wanna use AT&T canada's firmware cause i figure the languages or carrier service shouldn't be a problem, but i could be wrong. And i've been looking at the guides but they're all either from a year ago or in spanish. I already have navifirm and nokia care suite. and i got the recovery tool just in case. and i would greatly appreciate step by step help on this. any assistance is greatly appreciated since i have never done this before.

PS: if don't actually need the canada firmware, let me know. Thanks.

Only way you can flash it to the Rogers firmware is by flashing your phone first to the Rogers Portico ROM and then update using Wi-Fi. Let me warn you, once you flash and update to Amber, you won't be able to revert back to the ATT ROM.

does that mean I wouldn't be able to use AT&T phone service?

Personally, I would give it another 1-2 weeks. AT&T seems to be releasing for newest phones first; 920 should be next in line. Plus the 920 update for other carriers just came out this week. Unless there is a serious issue with the update on AT&T phones, I would expect it to come by the end of this month.
What usually happens when you flash another carrier's ROM is your device becomes optimized for that carrier meaning if there are any special settings for MMS or special apps like AT&T has address book, navigator, myAT&T, etc., you would get the ones for the other carrier instead of the AT&T ones and it might not let you install the AT&T ones. As for using the phone, it should work unless something in the firmware specifically blocks access to certain LTE bands. However, you also risk the possibility of degraded signal as sometimes firmware includes various optimizations for a particular network although that is not always the case. As others said, it does not appear to be possible to flash back an AT&T ROM at a later date so you might want to hold off.
