How to get Cortana to work properly with the correct media player

[Windows Central Question]

A few days ago Cortana played music from the Groove Music app. But since then I get an error message that says, "I'm sorry, something went wrong. Try again in a little bit.

Other aspects of Cortana seem to be working both with Edge and Bing, but not apparently with my current default media player that is set to be Groove Music.
