how to get my keyboard to start working

my keyboard will not work ,num lock or cap lock and most keys don't work this is a laptop toshiba i have to use screen keyboard how can i get it to work

is the laptop old? the keyboard might have failed - are there are any laptop repair centres nearby where you can show your laptop?
