Three times I have let the 'Feature Upgrade to v1803' proceed completely and each time afterwards it is still version v1709. On a clone of this system an upgrade via ISO on a USB stick ended in an unbootable system. How to remedy ? In the same PC a fresh install of V1803 went perfectly, but I want to UPGRADE a system rather than to start afresh.

How are you confirming it's build v1709?
Are you using winver?
The only solution i can think of is to use Windows Update, that's how mine got installed (forced) had to go with the install as I couldn't put it off any longer.
That's one thing I dislike about W10 Windows Updates you don't have much control even on W10 Pro.
