How to install Xap file

Hi All:

I started looking at Phonegap for app development. I was apple to create an app and install on a Droid but having trouble getting the Windows version to install on my Windows phone. PhoneGap left me with a xap file for Windows 8. What is the easiest way to install this on my Windows 8 device and test. I have the Nokia 822. Thanks Bob

If you don't have a developer unlocked phone, you can't deploy XAP files onto your phone. The developer license costs 19$ until the end of August, if I'm not wrong.

Where do I get the developer license, from Verizon? Thanks
