How to remove ' others' to free the phone memory?

My Nokia 625 phone memory is almost full. I have a data card and all my songs, photos and videos are getting downloaded on the data card. Still the phone memory is getting full. What needs be done to free phone memory?

Try clearing the internet cache from IE settings.

Old text messages will take up space also.
If there's no reason to keep them deleting will increase space.
