Windows Central Question

I don't have the password to the outlook account tied to my phone. When I got my phone I made the account with random details because I would not use it for anything else. A few months ago I got a popup requiring me to enter the password, which I do not know. I couldn't get any app updates which wasn't such a big deal, but now I can't access an app because it has expired. I can't retrieve the password the conventional way because as I said I made it with random details which I do not remember. How can I gain back full control of my phone?

You can't, All that can be done at this time is to start over by doing a master reset and starting over with a new account and doing it right this time around. All your apps and info, photos' will also be gone because I'm sure you also don't have a OneDrive account set up.

Do a hard reset and use a real account. All your previous info, data and app ownership is gone.

Not very forward planning. I'm sorry, but most people rely heavily on their smart device these days. Stating you would not use the admin privileges on your own device is patently poor planning.

I'm afraid you gave the control away voluntarily. You will have to take the hard road and start from scratch. Next go around hold the control in your own hands...
