How to see a directory as a Thumbnail for 3D models

Many in the 3D community have difficulty seeing 3D models, within a directory. Is there a native way for Windows Explorer to show a directory as a thumbnail?
I have seen some people have add-on utilities that do this,
but, could this become a new feature?
