I have a mp3 file that I want to set as ringtone but cant find a way to do it.I know I can easily do it by using a PC but what should I do if I don't have a PC around?

I know for sure Lumia's have access to a Ringtone Maker app that will work.

If you dont need to edit it, you could probably just use Files to copy it into the Ringtones folder.

Cheers for that, I'd never thought as a way to do it,legend!!

Umm...tried the files app moved the mp3 file to phone storage/ringtones but when I go ringtones+ sounds under settings I can't seem to find the ringtone any help?

Nope I copied the file into my phone via Bluetooth btw mp3 file should also work?

Yup, I have mp3 ringtones personally.
Maybe the media indexer needs time or some push to find and deal with those new ringtones.

If your mp3 file meets the ringtone criteria then just email it to yourself. When you get the email on your phone tap and hold on the file and a box will pop asking to save as a ringtone. Tap on that, then go to settings, ringtones+sounds, tap on ringtones and you'll see your new ringtone under the custom heading. The criteria of a ringtone is mp3 or wma, no longer than 40 sec, ringtone as the genre in the tag, and I believe no larger than 1MB in file size. But I could be wrong on that one. I know all mine have been in the neighborhood of .6MB
