How to show birthday's in calendar?

Can anyone do this and explain how? I've seen people mention there's an option in the Settings for Calendar, but I don't seem to have that. Any help would be much appreciated as I could do with these birthdays showing.

I read that somewhere as well, but I strangely don't have that. I suspect the birthdays that I see in my contacts are Facebook related, so I guess I'm assuming this can be done.

When you go to Calendar from Outlook.com on your pc, does it have birthday calendar listed and checked there?

I don't have a birthday calendar, just my live calendar. I wonder if I deleted it when I first started configured everything.

Well I've recreated the Birthday calendar which was easy enough but it's not populated with anything right now. I've edited a contact and resaved but nothing so far.

Ah ha it seems to be populating them now on Outlook.com and onto my phone.

If you're having this problem make sure you have a Birthday calendar on Outlook.com. If not, go to New and select Birthday Calendar. Then give it a bit of time.

Try manually sync'ing the account. Settings>email+accounts>Long press MS Account>Sync

Then check.

You'll get the FB birthdays if those contacts are synced with your Outlook/Hotmail account, as this is the one used by your phone.

Now if there was a way to have the birthday notification show up on the tile and lock screen on the birthday only, and not starting the day before.

Hi Guys,

I found a solution on this issue. Log on to your Microsoft Live account on the web from any PC, then go to your Calendar and add any appointment on any date through the web, therefore forcing to sync Calendar from the web -> phone. After that my phone and web calendars successfully synced, all birthdays and events from FB appeared on the phone Calendar. Hope this can help.
