How to use Nokia Care Suite???

Hey guys! I live in India and own a Lumia 620. Seeing that a lot of lumias were unble to get the GDR2/Amber update, i decided to flash my phone myself. I tried using Nokia Software Updater but stopped when i realised that i would have to keep my phone plugged in while it downloads the firmware (is that right?). So i downloded the latest version of NCS available on seidea.com . However when i used it it showed the message 'Access is Denied. Verify credentials.', and wouldn't let me download the firmware. I tried using the 2012 version of the software, but it fails to recognise that i already have the vc++ package installed on my laptop.
I have a laptop running Windows Vista, with 2gb of ram.
Can someone tell me what is wrong, what i can do to fix it, and what alternatives do i have??

Try this link to download and install NCS
It has instructions on how to patch NCS.

You don't have to connect your phone while downloading firmware.

You can flash it via NSU. The size of the download is about 1 gb. It has to be connected during the process.

That just happens to be my problem!! I can't leave my phone connected............Anyways, i'll try suryakiranr's link.
