So it isn't a huge issue as of now but I'm curious has anyone's M8 randomly restarted any? I got mine yesterday and it did it last night and just a few minutes ago I wasn't using it either time but heard it vibrate and looked and saw it restarted. I didn't know if that is an issue other people have had and if it gets worse or just a small glitch of some sort.

Do a soft reset (power button + volume down key).

This might be either a software bug that keeps locking up or a hardware issue, hopefully the soft reset fixes it. Keep watch though to see if it continues and if it gets worse.

Check out this post...I had that issue as well until I unpinned Cortana from the screen. I haven't had the reboot issue since and I haven't tried pinning her back yet either.
A good app to download is WP Uptime to keep track of any reboots you may miss and to see if your problem resolves itself. Main fix based on this link is to not have so many live tiles pinned to your start screen.

One time in the week I've had it. Cause was SD error while attempting to play a podcast stored on it, auto reboot and played the same podcast just fine.

The random reboot issue has been pretty well traced to a loose SIM card tray. It appears to be a thing like part A doesn't fit quite right in part B. Once it wiggles slightly, it performs a system reboot just like when you remove and reinsert a SIM card.

I had mine swapped out and haven't had one reboot since. The SIM tray should sit almost flush against the body of the phone. It should not be inset - or in other words, you shouldn't feel the edge of the SIM slot when the tray is inserted.
