Hyundai Bluetooth problems

I have been using my HTC 8x (verizon) with my 2010 Mazda for 5 months now - works great. Just got a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT and it's got some problems.

What works:

Streaming music works fine
Calls work fine

What doesn't work:

No artist or track information
Text message announcements sometimes happen, sometimes not. When they do happen, the phone is oblivious to the car mic so I can't say a command.
If I press any microphone icons on the phone, sometimes I get voice prompts, sometimes not. The mic never hears the input from the car.

Any ideas as to whether this is a Microsoft problem or a Hyundai problem? I'm guessing the latter, but thought I'd ask.

I am experiencing the same issue with my 2013 Elantra and the Samsung Ativ S Windows phone 8. The thing that leads me to think this is a WP8 issue is that the text messaging worked perfectly with my LG WP7 phone. I found that I had to shout to get any response from the phone...so I think the car mic is being ignored and anything I say is being picked up by the phone itself which is why I have to shout.
I am still working on finding a fix or workaround and I'll post it here.

Glad to hear that it worked with another Windows phone (7). My 8x works fine in my Mazda, so I thought it was a Hyundai problem most likely. I think there's a better chance it will get fixed by Microsoft than Hyundai.

I have a 2013 Elantra LTD with Nav and the phone connects with no problem but the Speech does not work. I can hear it playing over the audio asking for my input but it cannot hear me.

Can anyone help? I have an HTC 8x with all the latest updates.
