Also note that you'll lose Media Center if you upgrade.

My reason for trying Kodi and NextPVR with my HDHomerun tuner is to get Closed Caption for Free To Air time-shifted recordings to display properly. The

I am hearing impaired.

Windows Media Centre did closed captioning perfectly.

However this https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-kodi-record-live-tv is still flaky. Closed captions "does" come up, sort of.... ;-)

I am using this in Australia.

Any tips on how I can make this work properly?

Or could we beg Microsoft to bring back Windows Media Centre (Free-to-air PVR) especially for us hearing impaired people?
