I cracked my Lumia 1520 screen months ago and now all of a suddem it can't read my touch, is it time to change my screen?

cracked my lumia 1520 screen months ago and now all of a sudden it cant read my touch

cracked my lumia 1520 screen 8 months ago and it was working fine but randomly now it wont respond to my touch and it stays at the lockscreen because i cant type anything

Try a soft reset first....i think you keep holding power and either up volume,or down volume....till it shows the gears......a hard reset is more detailed,but it erases everything......the worst is the crack might have finally broke the touch part I the screen,and you need to I install a new screen
