I had my Nokia 535 since July 2015 today it stopped charging, why?

had nokia 535 since july 2015 today it stopped charging why?

Microsoft logo comes on - then a battery with one red bar appears then it goes blank - not enough charge to turn on phone.

Is it the battery or the software.

It's most probably just the battery. Take your phone to a service center or store so you can purchase or have your battery replaced.
