i have an HP stream 13 and i am trying to upgrade to windows 10.

You could try off loading your files to an external USB storage or use the SD card slot. You may not be able to have Windows download the upgrade files to either of those however, so hopefully you can free up enough space. If not, you can consider a clean install - I don't have the link readily available, but it has been posted here before. Good luck.
