I have the 8.1 Preview now how do I get Cyan and 8.1 Release version.

Windows Phone 8.1/Cyan has been released in my country for Lumia 925. But I have the 8.1 Preview how do I get my phone to update to Cyan and release 8.1?

downgrade to 8.0 using nokia software recovery tool and after that update via ota.

do all people with 8.1 DP have to downgrade or only those with bitlocker ???????????????

Right now, Microsoft basically prevented anyone with DP 8.1 from upgrading to Cyan directly, bitlocker or not. So, if you want to upgrade now and you know your phone had the update out in your region, you have to go back to 8.0.

I have the same situation. I would like to get Cyan, and understand to downgrade first.
But before I downgrade I would like to know what's included in the backup of the apps. As example, is my WhatsApp chat history also in the backup?

i don't know but yesterday after i upgraded to cyan my whatsapp is not opening

I don't know it will work or not but can you uncheck preview for developer's option in preview for developers app.

It sucks too much that microsoft had promised to us once that every users with developer Preview will be able to upgrade to the official 8.1. Now after downgraded my DP, I dont know when I can get the official 8.1. Even the DP is not working here. My lumia 920 without 8.1 is like an old phone... This is bad and after downgraded I use my phone lesser than before because I hate phone without notification center.

Microsoft is protecting YOU from yourself - you sound like a PEBCAK error waiting to happen.
- ALL phones will get 8.1 update, MS is working on a fix for the Dev Preview issue(s)
- WinPhone 8.1 / Lumia Cyan is NOT out for your phone, yet
- STOP whining & man up !

BTW - I have Lumia Cyan on my Lumia 1520, battery life is excellent, problems are smoothed out, you should really try it !

Just a cautionary tail for everyone I seem to be having the hugest bug after downgrading to wp 8.0 and the doing cyan and 8.1.

My voice search is completely broken i.e. I press the magnifying glass button and nothing happens.

Whats worse is it even then brakes the audio on the phone completely.

Sound does not come out properly and a full restart only fixes this till the next time I hold the search button to long.

I have factory reset my phone via the volume down power volume up volume down procedure and this has not resolved my issue.

Is anyone experiencing anything similar?
