This would be perfect for getting over Cell carriers tethering rules. I just got At&t's unlimited cell data with Direct TV or Uverse TV, but it's no tethering with that plan.

I'd pay that. Provided it works with the Lumia 950
You're right, no-one really does know. However, given if I get serious about upgrading my PC I'll be looking to spend ?10k+ on it, ~?300 for the laptop dock is a drop in the ocean. And even at ?1'000, it still has a purpose to me (since no tethering allowed on my contract but unlimited data). No matter how cheap a separate laptop is, it doesn't change the fact that the laptop will still be required to be connected via tethering, thus getting blocked by my carrier. That being said, if it doesn't work with the Lumia 950 it's a no-go for me (sorry HP, but I won't be buying the X3 just to use the ME). I'm currently backing the NexDock over on IndieGoGo (got one of the $99 packages). Here's the thing, if the NexDock doesn't get 1920x1080 resolution I won't want it. That requires $1m in funding.Spec wise (how it will connect based on what has been released), it SHOULD work with the 950 and 950XL provided HP didn't put some block in it for other phones that support the feature. That is always possible.
$180-250 MAX, anything over the $250 range touches what you can get an entry laptop for and defeats the point of it. If Verizon gets the X3, it WILL BE my next phone. So I would love to see it around $200 myself (unlimited data on Verizon, so it could be great)
Then again, this is NOT targeted for consumers, so it might be a higher end setup (huge battery, epic display/keyboard etc), so it's possible it could come for $500+
No one really knows do they ?
