I installed the latest version of the PfD on my L920 about 4 days ago. Prior to that the phone was running Cyan from my carrier.
I was on the understanding that for the 920, the Denim update was only a OS update (no new firmware). So upgrading via PfD was essentially the same as upgrading to Denim. I was pointed out that this was not exactly the case and there probably are some optimizations (in battery and experience/lag) coming with the official Denim update for the 920.
Anyway, this is my experience so far:

I love the Live folders. My Start screen is much more compact and tidy; and also feels more organized.

Anecdotal) I do feel the stock camera application to be much faster and the Camera Pro app also feels faster at launch, still shows the "Loading..." screen though, and I know this will not be fixed for this phone, but still being a little bit faster at launch is appreciated.

MSN Weather stopped updating the live tile for some reason (Background operation is active) so I changed to AccuWeather.

Love having back the Music App Live tile showing the Artist picture as in WP8.0. I missed that.
-:unhappyAlso Anecdotal) Battery life is a little bit worse but my Hardware is aging and since I am on a recent update I am using the phone a little bit more this week. I'll give it another week to see if battery life really decreased.
