I reserved a free upgrade on my Windows 8.1 laptop. Will it delete some of my files and apps?

I am thinking twice whether I should upgrade it already since the download has finished. I don't want to lose any of my files.

Another question: My current OS, Windows 8.1, is installed in my SSD. My laptop has two hard disks: an SSD and HDD. When I upgrade to Windows 10, it would still be installed in my SSD, right?

No, it won't delete your apps and files. Microsoft says: Back up all of your data before start in case of update is screwed... but i don't think it will screw your system.

And yeah. it will update your Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. This means Windows 10 will be installed on your SSD.
