I tap an alphabet and I get numbers

I go to sign into some of my accounts and when i touch an alphabet to punch it in only numbers appear and I can't sign into my account because I have to punch in numbers and alphabets, but all I get is numbers the alphabets won't come up I need this fixed right away cause I have important accounts I need to get into & I can't. What can I do to fix this.

Hi and welcome to WindowsCentral. What device are you using? What version of Windows are you running on your device?

I am guessing this is a laptop and you have "Num Lock" turned on.

I have seen this many times, where you press the "Num Lock" key and some of the buttons turn from letters to numbers.

To resolve just press the "Num Lock" button again.

If this doesn't help, we would definitely need more info.
