I think Microsoft may have fixed something... Help confirm

I was looking through my pictures in the stock photos app, zooming and such, when suddenly I saw it buffer an image out to a higher resolution! So, I need someone on GDR2 and someone on GDR1 to take a macro shot and zoom all the way in as fast as you can and examine for a detail reveal. Let me know if it worked for you and what software you are running. This should only apply to 720p and higher displays. The reason I ask is because of 1) never seeing this before GDR3 and 2) you used to need an app to see full resolution of pictures on your phone.

This is true. GDR2 brought a change to the image viewer to improve the on-phone display of photos.

This was documented as a change by Microsoft.

Obviously a PC is still the best place to appreciate photos.

Hm, still not full res, hd photo viewer(app) shows a better image. On 920 gdr3 preview.

LOL. The title of this thread made me laugh. It sounded like someone was so shocked that Microsoft had actually fixed something they just had to post about it :winktongue:

Gothfebrio it shows the same image for me. Exactly the same. I've been using hd photo viewer since its release.
