i7 Surface Book and UEFI

Hi,

My i7 Surface Book will only boot to the UEFI. I have to then select the SSD in Boot Options and swipe left to boot (the SSD is second after the UEFI). Is that correct, or other issue?

Many thanks!

If you're asking if booting into UEFI first is normal -- no, it isn't. Did your Surface Book come this way or is this an issue that cropped up after something else happened? If you got it this way, you probably should talk to Microsoft about a fix or replacement or return/exchange it at the store where you bought it.

This is the second SB I've had with this issue (booting to UEFI). The first went back to Microsoft, they replaced (new) with this. This time I figured out swipe left to boot SSD. Still tiresome though.

Very, very strange. I've had my SB since launch and have never seen the UEFI interface except ONE time I purposefully booted to it. You're saying that out of the box, this is happening to you or it just starts doing it one day?
