Icon driver error on Windows 10

Today, my Lumia Icon became unrecognized because the driver became invalid. Computer can see it, but this is the message:
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
MTP Device
A service installation section in this INF is invalid.

Seems the Anniversary update breaks MTP thingy or something so after faffing around with all the usual useless 'fixes' on the web like re-installing drivers etc. I found this fix which worked for me:

Go to C:\Windows\INF\ and search for wpdmtp.inf
Right click it and select Install.

That's it! Fixed it for me right away and my Lumia 640 LTE was recognized immediately and I could see the phone in Explorer and transfer stuff again.
