Well, alright this may seem like a pretty weird idea but I was thinking lately that it might make sense to have a derivate of the RedFly mobile companion that actually comes without a screen...
I mean, at the end of the day, the Redfly is technically like an external keyboard on steroids (well, plus a screen, vga out, own battery and usb host functionality). This is probably what makes it hard to understand for some people.
At the same time, external keyboards seem to sell great and are a central tool for many mobile phone users - and for typing the RedFly keyboard is surely the best I ever had (on a phone at least)...
So, wouldn't it be possible to profit from this by creating an external keyboard with the RedFly internals but without a screen? It might look similar to the lower part of the RedFly, it would still offer a VGA out, USB host and charging and could probably be priced competitively. They should probably be marketed under a different name but I believe they could generate nice revenues...
