If I join Windows Central will I get real prizes?

I don't want to get things, I just want a simple forum account. Is this possible? It says "Win prizes" and I don't want any. If it is, please tell me how. Thanks.

Mobile Nations occasionally runs contests with prizes. For instance, we run a photo contest where the best photograph of a given subject wins a prize. However, the contests are their own contained subforum, and they are strictly opt-in. You can join the forum and not try any of the contests.

The "Reward" I linked is like a lottery scratch-off. Spend 10 points to maybe win something from a list of prizes right then and there. I spent 100 points the day it debuted and only got 5 points back.
