I'm having a legal issue and Need the ability to save my SMS messages and/or be able to see the timestamps if i print off. My ex wife has been putting both my children and I through hell. We are currently in a court proceding to help them. It gets nasty some time over text and I want every piece of evidence i can get. Please tell me someone knows the answer. Very frustrated at the moment that i have to take pictures of My lumia 900 screen.

Re: Important question

I'm sorry to hear about your situation.

Would your attorney be able to contact your carrier to have them provide records of these SMS?

Re: Important question

unfortunately I am self represented and they seem to like to ignore me. I am debating upgrading my phone to a new lumia or another phone if i can't find a solution. Figured someone here might be able to answer. I tried forwarding to email but it doesn't seem to allow that either.

Re: Important question

Unfortunately you can't do this unless you have root access to the phone. I'm not too familiar with the 900, but chances are you can't get root access without flashing a custom rom, which would clear out your data.

Maybe you could forward them to a friend that has an Android phone and ask them to export the texts?

You could easily forward to, 😈 ( I don't even want to use its name (google)) voice and then do whatever you like in the PC.

Edit- I see I was late to reply I guess. Anyway for future it will work

Re: Important question

I wondered about this issue some time ago and browsed developer forums. It seems at least WP7.* users are out of luck here. There just isn't any way to save received SMS messages, not even from any specially written app. I think your best option would be to use a separate camera to photograph the messages from the phone screen!
