Now I have GDR 1 the in private tab doesn't work? She i try to use it it goes straight to Cortana and on the net, not the in private tab, has anybody else noticed this?

Just now tried it, working fine for me.... You can try a soft reset and check again..and alsot try clearing IE cache and history and then reboot your device
