I came across this news https://telecompress.com/whatsapp-indian-govt-messages-fake-news/ today. As it says, the Indian govt has asked the WhatsApp to find a way to track the origin of any messages to counter fake news mania that has gripped the country. While the intentions look good, don't you think this can be another tool to snoop on citizens and way to track dissenting voices? Can WhatsApp track the origin of any message like Cellphone's do?
